Even though I grew up in an insurance agency, I became an accidental insurance professional. I filed, answered phones, entered data, inspected houses, but swore to do something different.
Since that fortunate accident, I have worked as a producer, a company person, and CE instructor in both Personal and Commercial Lines.
I created ProductiveAgency to share what I have learned (both good and bad) over the years interacting with both successful and not so successful agencies.

I write primarily around the issues of Insurance Agency Management and Marketing. Because of the digital revolution, articles around Facebook, email marketing, and other aspects of social media are becoming standard fare.
Recently, I started a small real estate company. The business helps people sell their house fast, and get connected with local real estate investors. Working on this side hustle, has taught me a lot about the nuts and bolts of business, and the importance of working on the business instead of in the business.
